Good Morning Everybody!
Hi everybody.
I'm
back again with a few more projects to hopefully inspire you to get
creating with Dragons Lair Designs collections.
As our Inspiration
Blog post of the 1st of the month told you - this month we are giving our Design Team Members the chance to work with their choice of three different, older, collections from the Dragons Lair Designs store.
The collections available to choose from in June are:
I decided to have a play with all three collections, but to create simple cards, ones that could be posted using a standard stamp in the UK. Much as people love the more elaborate cards I'm finding that family members, and others who buy from me occasionally, who are going to post cards ask for ones who's dimensions allow for them to be posted using a standard stamp. Money constraints mean they can't afford to buy the more elaborate cards and then pay for a large letter or small packet stamp on top.
So this time I decided to go simple.
Deco Daze:
This card is made using a pre-designed card. Printed onto two sheets of cardstock, one sheet is the base card which I cut out, scored and folded. The second sheet has the layers to build up. To keep the dimension of the card low I only used a thin layer of glue gel to build up the layers so that the dimension is just visible without building up the height too much.
This card is simply made using a topper and background from the collection cut and stuck to an A5 card made by scoreing and folding an A4 sheet of white cardstock
Home Tweet Home:
I used a scalloped edge 5" square card as a base to this card. The matting and layering were cut out using dies, the bottom layer being a background from the collection, as well as the greeting "Penblwydd Hapus" (which is Welsh for "Happy Birthday"). A ribbon element from the collection was printed out and put across the card before sticking on the matting and layering using wet glue. The bird is a topper from the collection which I cut out and stuck on using a thin layer of glue gel.
Sarah:
This card was made by simply scoreing an A4 sheet and folding in half. The circular "brad" topper and mat were printed out from the kit and stuck on using wet blue. The vine, flowers, leaves and greeting were cut out using dies and also stuck on using wet glue. Diolch is Welsh for Thank You.
These are what I used:
