Pick Of The Week

Hi everyone , it's my turn for the " Pick of the Week" this week , and this week we are going for the Christmas theme , as it's not long really till the big day !!

The image that I have used has come from the fabulous Stamping Dragon Designs Shop .

There are some fabulous images that you can purchase and once you buy one you will be hooked.

The image for my project is " Jiggy has a Peek " , I love this image , Jiggy is so cute.

For this card I cut all the inside of the windows out and then mounted it onto some background card, but you could also put acetate behind it to make it look like a proper window, the choice is yours really.  Also it would look good if you wanted to decoupage the image up, especially the decoration above the window.

So why not pop on over to the Shop and have a browse , there is a great selection of Christmas Images available for you to choose from.

We also have a Stamping Dragon Facebook Group , where we have lots of fun , inspiration for you , mini challenges and lots , lots more, so why not come over and see us.

Well that's me for today Tania will be bringing you the next Pick of the Week next Monday ,
See you soon

Facebook Member - Blog of the Month - Fiona Crisp

Hi! Fiona here. A little bit about me....I'm married, we have two kids, and I work at a well-known chemist. I drink far too much coffee, and eat way too many bags of crisps!

That's the not-so-interesting stuff! I LOVE TO CRAFT!

I have dabbled in arty things ever since I can remember.

My Mum still has cards I made her when I was a little girl (my Mum's soppy like that). Nowadays, I will have a go at anything. I like to try new things and I always try and make little Christmas gifts, as well as cards, for family and friends. I'm lucky enough to have my own little craft room, I just wish I was a bit tidier! It is a constant mess, yet, I always seem to put my hands on exactly what I need.

My greatest love is stamping and coloring; as long as I have my Pro-markers, I'm a happy lady! I enjoy making shaped cards, and love being able to make personalized cards and gifts. And that's me!

Shaped Card Tutorial

Hi all , I'm bringing you a tutorial today on how to create a shaped card, shaped cards are great to use as they give another dimension to your cards.

I am going to show you how to make this card.

So firstly I printed, coloured and die cut my image to the size I wanted. I used the image Hoppy Frog on Lilly Pad .

Then I took an A4 sheet of coloured card , I left the width of the card the same and cut the height of it down to 15cm.

Next I scored a line at 7 1/2 cm and 15cm.

I then folded the card in half, and then folded the front in half again.

I then took a circle die and drew round half of it to create a semi circle. And then cut round it with a knife.

This then creates this shape of card .

I then decorated it with my image and some die cut flowers.

Hope you enjoyed my tutorial and hopefully it will help you create your own shaped cards.

For any other images, pop to the Stamping Dragon Designs Shop .

Pick of The Week - Monochrome Journal Kit

Hello everyone..

Its time for the "Pick of the week" and this week is aaaaaalllll mine ;-)

For my pick of the week, Ive been having a play with a quite new product from the store..
Its a christmas journal. I love digital jornals. For the simple reason, that you get sooo much to play with in a kit and only your imagination is your limit.

This is the kit ive used. you can find it HERE...

And here is what Ive made :
The flowers are cut with a die.
The ribbon is from my stach. I was very golden so I added a bit of paint over it as I was adding paint to the box.
This is in fact an old tea box. Im a bit of an earl grey addict so I always buy the BIG boxes. So when I finished the last box I thought Id have a wee play with the it. And with the christmas journal lying all printed and waiting to play on my desk, the 2 was just a match made in heaven.

I love the way this wee box turned out and it now stands on the mantel containg the christmas decorations my kids and I have made so far to add to the tree when it comes out :-)

And that is it from me today. I hope you like my box.
Thank you for stopping by and for any comments left behind.
