Inspiration By Lynne - Using The Pansy Collection Bookmarks To Create A Picture

Wednesday 29th April 2015

Gift Tag Picture

Good morning every
one, Lynne here to blog for the first time for
Dragons Lair.
I have chosen to use the pansy collection
bookmarks , but instead of
making them into bookmarks I have made a picture
of them.
Firstly I printed the bookmarks,then
the pansy frayed mat to use as a divider
between the bookmarks. I then copied and cut out
the frame from our family collection (the pansy
frame wasn't really suitable (although lovely)
for my particular needs. I hope you enjoy looking
at my framed picture.
you can find all the items I used at

Flowery gift tag

Hi, it`s Joanna, today I`d like to show you my gift tag with a big flower. I used a cardboard tag, chose two matching papers from our new Pansy Collection. The layers of paper are sewn together, but they need to be glued before that, to make things easier. I added a paper flower, it also comes from the new collection. The flowers there are great, you can cut them out, and stick a few of them one on the top of the other to make it dimensional. Everything is sprayed with a brown and olive glimmer mist.
The tag can be used to write a few nice words on the reverse side and attached to the gift bag. I hope you`ll like it.

Całość została spryskana oliwkową i brązową mgiełką. Tag można wykorzystać do napisania kilku miłych słów i dołączyć do prezentu. Mam nadzieję, że wam się podoba.

My Girl Scrapbook Page By Jacqui Made Using "The Pansy Collection"

Hi again folks Jacqui here with project no 4 of the fancy, frivolous & feminine Pansy kit. Today I made a scrapbook page of my beautiful daughter Sarah-Jade.  She loves dressing up in different costumes & wigs & is awesome with face make up.  She did an awesome Tiger one (which I must find & use).  Anyway back to my page.  I used my craft artist to put her picture into a quick page which is pre done.  Then I added corners, used the alphabet for the words & punched them out.  I added a flower vase & ribbon in craft artist too.  Then I printed the vase again cut it out & decoupaged it. I used Chloe glitter to emphasise the ribbon & another in pink for the flowers.  I really love how it turned out and hope you do too.

Till next time Jacqui over and out

More "The Pansy Collection" Creations

Have you got your hands on
"The Pansy Collection"
yet?

Our Design Team members love the new "The Pansy Collection", that launched in the Dragons Lair Designs store on the 1st April, so much that they are still creating and showing makes made with different items from within the collection.

So we thought it would be nice to do another post to collect together the latest makes.  We hope you enjoy looking at them.

Don't Forget - there's a 40% discount on the cost of all of the items in the collection for a whole month!  Go on, have a look in the store to see how much of a discount is being given!

Gwyneth
A Side Stepper card with matting and layering from backgrounds and a mat from the collection.

A few additions from her crafty stash and Jacqui created this gorgeous card - don't forget that items from "The Pansy Collection" work well with lots of stuff you've already got.

Susan
A gorgeous little notebook decorated with butterflies cut out of a Pansy Collection background.

Janna
Prior to the launch Janna teased everybody with a lovely card made using elements from The Pansy Collection and a tea set digi-stamp from the store.  She's now made a pillow-box to give a gift in to go with the card.

If you want to give a little something to somebody then a bookmark is always useful - and you could personalise them with the recipient's name rather than a greeting.

Keep an eye out for even more creations from The Pansy Collection made by our very creative Design Team members.  This collection has inspired the DT members to make a huge variety of crafty makes to inspire everybody.

My Inspiration Project for "The Pansy Collection"

Hi, it's Nan here with my project from the "Pansey Collection"!  This was so easy first because the collection has so many wonderful elements to play with and second the thrown away box from a mega store that I salvaged/saved.  I put a frame from the collection on the center section and stamped and embossed a letter "B" (for my last name) and flowers from the collection that I had made 2 copies of and cut the one of the sheets of flowers centers out.  I cut each separate petal on both pieces and glued the copy of the center on the whole flower.  I also bent each petal to give it dimension.  They turned out so lovely!  And the side sections have pansy journal cards from the collection layered on the sides.  And to cover the front edge I cut the journal cards to make a border and added another beautiful flower.  This project made itself really due to the "Pansy Collection" having such awesome elements and the box being perfect for my magazine rack! And her it is:

You can find the collection HERE and it is 40% off the whole collection for this month!  The following links will take you to all our Dragons Lair Designs sites.

Inspiration by Gwyneth - April - The Pansy Collection Shaped Card

Good Morning Everybody!

Hi everybody.

It's been a few months since I did a card as an inspiration piece for this blog so I thought I'd make a shaped card to show you this month.  This time I've got my die-cutting machine, and a few dies I picked up recently, out to make a card that opens out quite dimensional but still folds reasonably flat for posting (although it would still have to go as a Large Letter in the UK if you wanted to post it, but great for hand delivery).

I used  "The Pansy Collection" kit that was launched on the 1st in the Dragons Lair Designs store.  The colours of this collection are gorgeous and it contains backgrounds that will work well with lots of other items from your crafting stash so you don't have to make a floral card with it.  I decided to use it for an understated Easter card.

This is a photo of the card I made:

Iesu = Jesus, Mae'n Fyw = He Lives, Llawenhawn = Let Us Rejoyce

These are what I used:
.
Stamping Dragon Designs Item:
Items from "The Pansy Collection" available - here - in the store.

Consumables:
250gsm Super Smooth cardstock, Quick Grab Wet Glue, Brother Labeler Tape, White Hammered Cardstock
Equipment:
Scissors, My Craft Studio Software, Brother Labeling Machine, Tattered Lace Shutter Card Die Set, Cut&Boss Machine

This is what I did:
I took a lot of the elements from The Pansy Collection into the software and resized it to suite the project I was working on.  I used the software's digital die-cut function to cut out a cross from the tag.  The elements and some sheets of backgrounds were then printed out.  I cut the tag out by hand using scissors, but used the shutter card die set to cut out the base card from hammered card, and all the matting and layering pieces from my printed out sheets.  I used white on clear and black on clear tape to print out the wording I wanted using my labeling machine.  I then folded the card along the lines indicated and glued everything in place.

These are a few more photos of my card taken from different angles, starting with a closeup of the tag.

A lovely launch day extra from Susan - a gift box made with printouts from the collection.

Diane
Diane used the panels from the collection to lovely effect in her teaser creation.
As Diane shows here, the pocket of pansies makes a lovely topper.

Lynne
Lynne made this lovely tripple easel card to tease you with before the launch.

Janna
With the addition of a lovely teaset digi stamp from the store Janna made this wonderful card.

Janna made this lovely pop-up card to share with you today.

A lovely launch day extra from Nanette, using elements from the collection both outside and inside the card.

This collection has such gorgeous colours in it, but, although the main emphasis is on Pansies, the backgrounds are very versatile in their own right even if you don't put the flowers on your creations.
