Cosmic Play at Dragons Lair Designs!

I have been painting a lot of cosmic nebula type backgrounds from tutorials on Youtube and when I chose the digital stamp "Moonlight Unicorn" from Dragons Lair Designs Store, this digital project was in my mind.  I am happy with it!  Even though mushrooms might not live anywhere else in the Universe or that unicorns might or might not be able to breathe or even exist anywhere did not deter me from making my happy picture of my day!

Vintage Letters Page from Dragons Lair Designs

Hi, it's me again, Nan!  Hope the summer is being kind to you; we have had our first tropical storm of the season go over last night with heavy rains still continuing!  And it is so hot!!  But still good things to do in the summer and one is staying cool inside and playing with a digital layout from the kit  Vintage Letters Collection from Dragons Lair Designs on Photoshop!


This kit is so elegant and just lovely!  The colors, the images, all from a time gone by that remind us of a slower time.  I put this page together in Photoshop wanting to show everyone how fast and easy you can save your memories the same day you take a photo!  A short sit down and you can add that photo to a fabulous digital kit and have an amazingly fast, wonderful scrapbook page!

My Special Fairy Village Using Dragons Lair Designs Digi Stamp!


Hi! Nan here again with my project for our June Coloring Challenge on the Dragons Lair Designs Fan Group!  Still time for you to request an image and enter for a free digital stamp from the Dragon Lair Designs Store!  This month we are using the digi named Fairy House Background Scene.  Here now is my make .....watch out for dragonflies who might be fairies who do not want us adoreto see them!



I used acrylic paints on a canvas sheet that I had traced my digital stamp image on a full page.  I adapted a painting from Painting with Jane on Youtube to make my fairy house glow with activity!  I adore it with the lights and stars and fireflies!  Fun stuff that reminds us that digital stamps are not only for coloring with pencils or markers!  You can paint with watercolors, acrylics, and digitally!  And so much more to be done with them, they are very versatile!

Coloring and Digital Fun Challenge at Dragons Lair Designs Facebook Fan Group!

Today I have the pleasure of showing you a fabulous make by Neeltje, a member of the Dragons Lair Designs Facebook Fan Group!  Each month we give a digital stamp to anyone who wants to create a finished project with it by the end of the month and post it to the album.  The only requirement is if you request an image you use it before the end of the month and post it...easy peasy!  And the winner gets a free digital image/stamp from the store!  Everyone who participates gets a loyalty point added and when you reach 30 loyalty points you get some free play at the store, so come join us (linky below) and participate in our activities for points and freebies, which we all LOVE, right?

May's Challenge Begins Today! Anything Goes with a Twist of Fashion!

Hi Dragonettes!  Just a short post to get us all ready for the May challenge at Dragons Lair Designs where the theme is Anything Goes with an optional twist of fashion!  Fun one this month!  I am doing a digital page as I am having back issues plus love playing with the kits digitally sooo much!  Here is my summer is already here in south Mississippi layout with a couple who have clothes on (fashion) but they are in silhouette so I will let our Challenge Leader, Susan, determine what category mine falls into! :)



Do come join the challenge!  A prize and lots of inspiration and nothing easier than Anything Goes, right?  Oh, my lady has a hat on!  Definitely fashion LOL

At the Dragons Lair Designs Facebook Fan Page we have a coloring contest where you can request a free digital image and if you color it and put it in the album you can get the image for the next month free again!  And for our loyalty points, if you color and blog your project you get two points!

Inspiration Susan R

Hi Susan R here

I made this digital layout for a new digital challenge
Digitally Made

But it is also an inspiration make using Dragons lair Designs elements!

I put together a digital layout to celebrate this first Challenge
- Easter Fun - using photos from April when my daughter, husband and I had great fun colouring duck eggs with a dye and wax technique.


I have used papers and elements from Dragons Lair Designs and Serif Craft Artist 2,
in particular from
Artistic Expressions (papers), A Touch of Provence (frames), Citrus Celebrations (puzzle piece)

Gentle Waves at Dragons Lair Designs~

And yet another 5 second layout for you busy moms, wives, and working women from Dragons Lair Designs Store!  We cherish our memories but it is awesome to be able to put your hand on a face and remember that day with such clarity!  This layout was from a day at the Railroad Museum in Foley, Alabama, and it was my whole family, mom, daddy, and my two kids.  Such a precious memory it is now to see those photos!


The kit is called Gentle Waves and was a freebie Sunday Showcase feature!  It is so beautiful!  We will be resuming our production of new kits as soon as our fearless leader feels better!  And let's all wish her a speedy pain free recovery!

My Babies and Dragons Lair Designs!

Thanks to Dragons Lair Designs for the easy, fun, fast ways they have for us to digitally make our scrapbook pages whereas before I would say I was going to do it and never did!  This page is of course dear to my heart!  It is my "babies" at Christmas with mama in the center.....as it should be :)

A Third ATC from Susan R

Hi...Susan R here...as always, find more details on my blog

The background for this ATC uses the 'bleeding tissue' technique, matted on a scrap of black card. This is a very muted background.



I then added Dragons Lair Hoppy Takes Cover coloured with a variety of markers.
Finally I added some tiny butterfly brads.

Another ATC Inspiration from Susan R

Hi...Susan R here...as always, find more details on my blog

As today is my Dad's 90th Birthday I decided to make a Birthday ATC.


The background for this ATC uses the 'bleeding tissue' technique, matted on a scrap of brown card.


I then added Dragons Lair Happy Birthday Hiss coloured with a variety of markers.
This is the image to use in the March Facebook Challenge - there's still time to enter!

I cut a number of candles using a Sissix die and coloured the flames with Zig pens.
